Hi, I’m Jason, the owner and show promoter behind Savvy Events. If you’re new here, welcome—I’m so glad you stopped by!
Savvy Events began in 2015, not by my own design, but by God’s. My journey started when a local police officer’s young daughter was battling cancer, and I felt called to help. I approached the Vinton Moose Lodge to host a benefit concert, and in return, promised to organize a craft or vendor show to support the lodge. The fundraiser was a remarkable success, and soon after, my very first Craft & Vendor Show sold out with a waiting list to spare. Since then, we’ve continued hosting two sold‑out shows at the Vinton Moose Lodge every year.
That same spring, I took a huge leap of faith and reached out to the Berglund Center about hosting a Craft & Vendor Show. Going from 40 vendors to 113 was intimidating, but it paid off—we sold out in our first year with a waitlist of more than 30 vendors. When I told the Berglund team, I wanted to go even bigger for our Holiday Show, they asked if I could really handle going from 100 booths to 242. Ten years later… we’re still doing it!
Over the past decade, I’ve organized shows for churches, school PTAs, cheerleading teams, various Moose Lodges, and families in need due to illness or loss. Giving back has always been at the heart of what we do. I’ve also proudly supported the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots program for ten years and counting.
As Savvy Events grew, we expanded into Valley View Mall, hosting events throughout the open spaces. Today, I am blessed to operate a 6,700 sq/ft store that features 23 local vendors each month. We also offer classes, birthday parties, paint nights, and a wide variety of special events—all designed to uplift our community and support small businesses.
My motto has always been:
“I’m always looking out for the small business and helping them grow and succeed.”
And now, in 2026, Savvy Events is growing again! We’ve officially booked the Greater Williamsburg Sports & Event Center for our first-ever traveling road show. Vendors are joining us from Roanoke, Maryland, West Virginia, and all up and down the East Coast—and we’re even bringing a local Roanoke band to kick off Friday night in Williamsburg. In staying true to our mission, we’ll also be partnering with a local Williamsburg charity to give back to the community.
Outside of Savvy Events, I work full time and love spending time with my fiancée Sara, her daughters Emma and Kaylee, and my four daughters—Kyra, Bella, Brooklynn, and Emily. And yes… we also have 18 ducks, so life stays wonderfully busy!
If I can support you, your small business, nonprofit, or school organization in any way, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
I hope to see you at a Savvy Event soon!
